Initiatives

Antifraud Framework – Mandated by the FL Board of Governors, UF has established a formalized fraud risk management program, which outlines the guiding principles and key structural elements to address fraud, waste, abuse, and financial mismanagement. It also identifies the actions and processes to prevent and detect fraud within the University.

Empowering UF – aims to modernize the University of Florida’s business processes and administrative information systems to meet UF’s business needs, with an emphasis on user experience and enhanced capabilities.

Radical Financial Transparency – In an effort to develop a consistent and clear view of operational activity and performance across the University, the CFO’s office is undertaking the Radical Financial Transparency initiative. Through this project, the University will thoroughly evaluate operational, financial, and academic metrics for all administrative, auxiliary, and academic units in an objective manner.

UF GO – In Spring 2022, the university introduced UF GO, a new travel and PCard system that will enables faculty and staff to upload, review and report travel and PCard expenses on the go.

University Budget Model Enhancement – UF is reviewing its RCM-based budget model to ensure it aligns with industry-wide best practices. This process was started in the Summer of 2021 and is expected to last until the Summer of 2022.
