Scott Easton: Finance and Accounting’s new associate controller

Scott Easton became Finance and Accounting’s new associate controller for University Payroll and Tax Services in March, replacing Linda Orfield, who retired this spring.

IRS publication requires employee expenses be submitted within 60 days for reimbursement

Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Publication 463 provides requirements that must be met for employee reimbursements to be considered non-taxable. UF must comply with these requirements to ensure the tax-exempt status of the university’s employee reimbursement plan is not jeopardized.

New UF Space Management Guidelines available

In an effort to address classroom, office and other physical-space challenges on UF’s campus, especially with UF’s Faculty 500 initiative in mind, UF’s Service Innovation Collaborative recently released Space Management Guidelines to assist campus in managing university space.

Sharing our new strategic priorities

Last spring, the Office of the CFO announced our new strategic plan, consisting of both long- and short-term priorities, for the years ahead. These priorities were determined after months of meeting and engaging with unit leaders across the Office of the CFO.
