Airbnb banned for official state business travel

Effective Jan. 22, Airbnb services should no longer be used by anyone on official University of Florida travel. Reimbursements will be allowed for travel that contains Airbnb services where the travel began prior to Jan. 22.

Elmore Hall to host Experience UF event in February

Last fall, Elmore Hall opened its doors for a back-to-school open house, during which roughly 160 people met experts on everything from myPayment Solutions and myUFL financials to vendor files, purchase orders and vouchers. Elmore Hall staff also hosted the UF 2018 Contract Supplier Showcase last fall in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. New faculty and professional staff will have the chance to visit Elmore Hall this spring when CFO Mike McKee and his team host the next UF Experience event on Feb. 12.

Take It From the Top: A look back at the GBAS Fall Institute

The morning session focused on fiscal responsibility for leaders at UF, with GBAS training manager Gwynn Cadwallader, Finance & Accounting accountant Emily Moran, Assistant Vice President and Director of Contracts & Grants Accounting in the Office of Research Tiffany Schmidt and Assistant Vice President and University Controller Alan West sharing updates about the fiscal responsibility information being presented to campus deans, chairs, vice presidents and assistant vice presidents.

Transparency portals make financial information more accessible

With support from the Office of the CFO, the University Faculty Senate Budget Council has been working to make financial information regarding college and support unit budgets and expenditures more accessible to UF faculty and staff.

Proposed 2019-20 Fringe Benefit Pool rates

The university has calculated the new proposed pooled fringe rates for fiscal year 2019–20 and has submitted them to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
