Last fall, Elmore Hall opened its doors for a back-to-school open house, during which roughly 160 people met experts on everything from myPayment Solutions and myUFL financials to vendor files, purchase orders and vouchers. Elmore Hall staff also hosted the UF 2018 Contract Supplier Showcase last fall in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. New faculty and professional staff will have the chance to visit Elmore Hall this spring when CFO Mike McKee and his team host the next UF Experience event on Feb. 12.
The morning session focused on fiscal responsibility for leaders at UF, with GBAS training manager Gwynn Cadwallader, Finance & Accounting accountant Emily Moran, Assistant Vice President and Director of Contracts & Grants Accounting in the Office of Research Tiffany Schmidt and Assistant Vice President and University Controller Alan West sharing updates about the fiscal responsibility information being presented to campus deans, chairs, vice presidents and assistant vice presidents.
With support from the Office of the CFO, the University Faculty Senate Budget Council has been working to make financial information regarding college and support unit budgets and expenditures more accessible to UF faculty and staff.
The university has calculated the new proposed pooled fringe rates for fiscal year 2019–20 and has submitted them to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
