CFO Financial Accountable Officers

Financial Accountable Officers are identified to share strategic communications from the CFO Division to appropriate colleagues in their college, center or division.  In many cases, they are the Chief Business Officer of their unit. Strategic communications include high-level administrative policies, directives and guidance that may be related to internal controls, business process changes, budget and procurement updates, scorecards, etc.

Departmental Financial Accountable Officers

Departmental Financial Accountable Officers are finance staff at the departmental level identified to share communications to appropriate colleagues within their department.  The Financial Accountable Officer should review the list of Departmental Accountable Officers at least annually to ensure the right population in their unit is listed to receive communications. Strategic communications will include directives, guidance and best practices that may be related to internal controls, business process changes, budget and procurement updates.
