Directive Statement

Departments may pay for educational training and courses that are designed to improve the efficiency of a qualified employee when the courses are directly related to the employee’s current job duties

Departments may not pay for educational courses intended to prepare an employee for a job primarily of benefit to the employee and only indirectly beneficial to the university, do not constitute a proper expenditure of moneys

Reason for Directive

To ensure expenditures adhere to all restrictions set by the State of Florida.

All UF departments.
