    Finance Fridays, an initiative of the Controller’s Office Finance Strategy & Analytics team, is a knowledge development training series designed to develop a thorough understanding of our dynamic campus operations for Finance & Accounting employees.

    The series will be delivered bimonthly by subject matter experts, in collaboration with various campus groups. An email notice will be sent to the division with the Zoom details. As always, please coordinate with your supervisor to make sure you are able to attend due to your work schedule.

    What topics are covered?

    Topics are selected to connect with the University of Florida’s mission areas of instruction, research and public service and CFO or Finance & Accounting initiatives, such as diversity, equity and inclusion, process improvement or stakeholder engagement.

    Prior and upcoming sessions include:

    • December 2022 – Florida Museum of Natural History Mammal Collections with presenter Dr. Verity Mathis, Collections Manager
    • January 2023 – Stephen C. O’Connell Center with presenter Lynda Reinhart, Director
    • February 2023 – Gator Marching Band with presenter Professor Jay Watkins, Associate Director of Bands
    • March 2023 – Disability Resource Center with presenter Jenna Gonzalez, Director
    • May 2023 – Lastinger Center for Learning with presenter Dr. Phil Poekert, Director

    Interested in speaking?

    We are actively seeking speakers for future Finance Fridays! Please email controller-office@ad.ufl.edu if you would like more information or to be a speaker. Sessions are approximately 30-40 minutes followed by 15 minutes of Q&A and are designed to be informal discussions on the subject.
